When it comes to internet marketing, there are many different venues that will assist in your success. It appears that in 2010, you should be placing a heavy emphasis on leaning toward Google. The online news source “MSNBC” recently released an article that stated that Google is one of the best stocks to invest in for 2010. Tim Beyers, who composes content for TheMotleyFool states: “The search engine giant is becoming a mobile market monster”. Even with such descriptive phrases as “monster”, I still feel that this writer simply did not capture the massive essence that Google has when it comes to marketing campaigns.
We often hear people cutting down Google. I am not sure why this is. I mean, everyone that uses the internet knows and understands the immense force behind Google. When it comes to the worth of Google, it comes in at an amazing $200 million dollars! I don’t know about you, but if a company is successful enough to be worth a couple hundred million online, that is a company that I want to work with! While most of us associate this company as being a search engine, this particular news story makes it very clear that they are NOT a search engine. As a matter of fact, the article states: “Google is the world’s largest collector, distributor, and host of Web-based information”. Based on this information, as an internet marketer, I definitely want to be a part of Google – or, perhaps it is – I want Google to be a part of my marketing campaign.
As an internet marketer, there are two programs offered by Google that I am concerned with. The first is the Google AdSense program and the second is the Google AdWords program. AdWords is advertisements that promote your goods and services that are placed on websites that are actually owned by Google. AdSense utilizes advertisements that are placed on websites that are not owned by Google. If you want to succeed in internet marketing in the year 2010, it is important to get yourself in the “loop” with both AdSense and AdWords. You will find that both programs highly benefit your ability to drive traffic to your website, improve your sales, and build your online reputation.
Not only are these two programs essential for your internet marketing scheme in 2010, but Google recently purchased the ever-popular “AdMob”. This is a mobile based marketing system. They bought it in November for an amazing $750 million. This program utilizes location as a bearer to advertisements. However, there always has to be someone that complains. People feel that Google has too much control when it comes to search engine features. Now, those same people are scared that Google will harness the mobile marketing field. Honestly, based on their success, how bad would this be? As an internet marketer, I see this as good news. I say that as long as Google continues to offer innovative marketing measures, I am with them! The more successful Google is, the more successful I will be!
Maybe I could be wrong, though. Perhaps it is a bad thing to allow Google complete domination. What do you think? Are you going to lean towards Google in the year 2010 for your internet marketing endeavors? If so, let us know! Do you feel that Google is the “Monopoly” on the internet? If so, roll the dice and make your move – as we would love to hear your opinion on the matter.
