So this may be mainly for the new online affiliate that does not know how to do it otherwise. What I do currently involves hyperlinking my own keywords, to make a clickable link. Then I get the whole commission.

I have to see this in action – affiliate marketing works best with targeted traffic – so I'm not a fan of making random links in my content affiliate links. I find that linking to one product and soft selling to be the most effective.

Skim links is a great idea – I like to have more control over which links are sent out and so go with plugins such as seo smart links that enable you full control over which links are automatically created.
