If you are like many small businesses you have discovered the world of Twitter. However you have abandoned your account as so many are doing because you don’t know how to utilize it to its full potential.
Follow this simple guide line and make the changes you need to start getting your followers!
- First and foremost make sure your profile account is completed in its entirety. There is nothing worse the coming across a business profile with many gaps in it. It sends the wrong signal to people. Go back and check yours for anything that may be missing.
- Make sure your page has a background and is pleasant to the eye. Don’t over do it! Believe it or not you can oversell your page and people will move on.
- How does your balance or imbalance of followers look? Do you have people that don’t really follow but are just “there”. Many people use what is called a automated follower tool and are only after one thing numbers.
- Tweets are vital to you but this again has been abused. Don’t over Tweet! It’s annoying and rude to send a bunch of Tweets right in a row. Schedule them to your followers throughout the day. Too many Tweets or over doing it on the re-tweets and you will more then likely end up being un-followed.
- Be considerate, make sure you are replying back to other followers Tweets, when you broadcast Tweets make them interesting with a helpful link and don’t be afraid to give your opinion, it’s why people are there to find out what you have to say and to find out more about your product. Lastly, make your Tweets are relevant to your business.
Pretty soon you will find that your following will increase and you will be well on your way to being successful on Twitter!

Getting a lot of followers in Twitter will definitely help. Just be sure to follow them back also. It is also advisable that you follow people who have the same interests with you as they will definitely follow you back
Twitter is indeed good for business like many other social networking sites. When you use the site to its full potential, you will find out that there’s so much you can do to expand your enterprise. It must carefully be noted though, don’t overdo and be careful with what you Tweet.
