The blogging word is big and wide with more than 100 million blogs already on the internet. Attracting visitors to your blog and having them coming on a regular basis to visit does take a bit of working several easy techniques to do this.


  1. Write, write write.  Write on a regular basis and update your blog with resourceful content is the number one step to building and bring in a continuous audience. Working on writing will also help to improve your writing too in the process while you’re building up your blog posts at the same time. Also writing more helpful content will helpful to bring in more people who will discuss and share your content with others.
  2. Share the link love by linking other blogs in your own blog posts. Referring to other blogs that you may like or particular posts of interest.  Now those blogs may have the trackback feature turned on within their blogging software will provide an automatic link back to your own blog within your blog comment section.
  3. Use social media sites as a way to promote your blogs to others and provide a link to your blogs and recent blog posts. Joining social networking site such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace and other sites which allow you to include your links on your profiles.  Don’t forget to join the social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, and Delicious. Be sure to submit other great content and not just your own links.
  4. Participate in online forums with topics related to your blog. Setup your signature line on the forum to include your blog link so that others will see and visit your blog. It’s important to be an active and contributing member of the forum. Avoid advertising only your blog links as there is a time and place for everything.
  5. Guest post on other blogs who have similar niches as your blog as a guest blogger.  Choose a blog that has generally more traffic than yours as it will provide a way to get more traffic to your site. Writing in front of others will expose them to your thoughts and draw their interest in learning more about you.
