<p>YouTube Trends is a way for the site to feature videos that have been shared repeatedly and are on other sites – trending videos. This operates in the way of a feed that is generated algorithmically and features a collection of videos called “4 at 4” that is displayed twice a day.</p>

<p>It also contains a blog that gives a more comprehensive and contextual look at videos, trends, and cultural phenomenon with the use of YouTube’s internal data.</p>

<p>What’s spectacular about this though is the dashboard, which allows users to easily find out what is popular in different geographical locations and within specific demographic sets.</p>

<p>This is a really great tool for marketers as <a href="http://youtube-trends.blogspot.com/">YouTube Trends</a> will give a window into what is current and also an insider look at the recent topics of interest. The demographic insights will also prove to be an invaluable tool.</p>

<p>If you aren&#8217;t familiar with the Orabrush story, the quick backstory on this company involves a succession of TV commercials that bombed. The company, which sells an oral hygiene product intended to help fight bacteria, decided to turn to YouTube to help promote their product. Instead of taking themselves seriously, they created a spoof on an infomercial and broadcast it via YouTube with the help of &#8220;Promoted Videos.&#8221;</p>

<p>After experiencing success with their first series of videos, Orabrush continued with a new advertising campaign that features weekly appearances by a giant tongue named &#8220;Morgan.&#8221; Thanks to this clever advertising strategy, the product is now being regularly stocked in major drugstores.</p>

<p>Small businesses should pay close attention to this story. Orabrush&#8217;s advertising campaign has been so successful largely because they identified what customers are watching and decided to cater to their audience.
