First you need to have people signing up to receive your newsletters. Spamming is a big no-no nowadays, and you need to have the express permission of the recipients to receive your mailings. Buying other people's list is not recommended — you can be blocked by the ISPs faster than you can send your next email
So you have to think how they can sign up to your newsletter –start by asking your existing clientele if they want to sign up for your newsletter. And if you are going to do it online, then you need to have a website.
Which brings us to the next point — content. What are you going to put into your newsletter? How regular is your publication? If you have a website, what content are you going to put in the website?
Then next of course is how are you going to send the newsletters? ISPs will allow you to send a limited number of emails per hour (e. g. 100 per hour) unless you have a business account. Are you going to use a third party service such as Constant Contact?
Emails are a great way of sending out offers, communicating with customers, and possibly reaching out new clients — but with all the spam controls out there, it has to be done right otherwise it can backfire on your big time. You don't want to be branded, or worse sued, as a spammer.
