A newsletter is a great way to get people coming back to your site. People can visit hundreds of sites a day. They are not going to remember each one. If you want them to come back to your try sending out a newsletter on a regular basis.

First you will need to get people to sing up for your newsletter. This can be done a few ways. You can have a place on your site for people to leave their email address and sign up, or when they purchase something you can have them sign up then. If you have a site where people register you can have them agree to get your newsletter when they are registering.

Once you have people signed up for your newsletter you need to figure out what you should be including in your newsletter. If you offer products for sale you want to include new items, and any sales you may be having. Let your readers know about any new ventures you are working on. Include an article dealing with your company or area of business is a good idea.

You do not want the newsletter to become too long or people will not read it. If you have more you want your readers to know include a short description and a link tot he entire article or page. Remind your readers to share the newsletter with others. This will help spread the word about your business with some free advertising. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement you can have.

It will be up to you how often yous end out a newsletter. Too much and people may feel like you are spamming them. Once a month works well for newsletters. You can always send out a special edition if you have time sensitive information to get out to your subscribers.
