Google is still waiting for China to renew their license. This license is necessary for Google to continue their operation with its China Website base.

At the moment all internet traffic is being redirected to the uncensored Google Hong Kong search engine. For how long, this will be, is up to the Chinese authorities in control of the renewal. This is much to the displeasure of the Chinese government officials.

China authorities are demanding that Google comply with their laws that require companies to censor search results. Since Google’s license, which came up for renewal last week, they have had to restore a “landing page” and on that page searchers  are given a direct link to the company’s Hong Kong page.
