I have the person to make the site, some suppliers. I have never own a business before and tought starting an online Business might be a little less expensive than an actual store.
Any places offering some kind of training? how do I make my site known?
Please help! I need suggestions, links, ideas, etc if you have an online business tell me if you recommend it as my first business.

If you get a good hosting package i think they may help with getting good ranking

second, build your site as easy to navigate as possible. try some shopping software or anything.
third, to make your site known you, you can ask for help from your friends. if they have a site, then ask them if they can advertise your shop/products. but if you have some box then try google adwords, adbrite etc. . . .
