So you have decided you are going to start an online business. You have taken time to figure out if an online business if right for you and have decided to give it a shot. Now you have to figure out what type of online business are you going to start. There are hundreds if not thousands of different type of online businesses you could start. The key is picking the right online business for you.  I have compiled a short list of questions you can ask yourself to help choose which business is right for you.

1. What are your interests? If you have a business you feel passionate about you are more likely to be successful. You need to enjoy what you are doing or you will become burned out real quick. You have to have the want to when it comes to running a business.
2. Do you have the knowledge? Knowledge is very important when running a business. If you do not have the expertise, people are not going to trust you. Decide what you are most knowledgeable about. After all, you would not see a baker running an auto mechanics shop. Well you may, but you would not want to have your brakes replaced there would you?
3. Do you have the resources? Businesses take resources. You have to have start-up funds. You have to have a product or service to offer to customers. You have to have a website to run the online business on. Some businesses may require a license.  These are all resources to consider when deciding what type of business you want to have.
