Be careful. Nobody cares as much about your bottom line as you do. At the very least you should study up on the subject yourself and run some campaigns yourself before outsourcing to someone else. A great book on Adwords is Google Adwords for Dummies by Howie Jacobson – it's extremely well written and done so from the standpoint of making you money.

Once you know what you're doing, outsourcing can be very inexpensive. I recently outsourced some Adwords work to a company for about $2/hour. I found them on elance. com.

You have to decide how much value they are offering your business. If you have the time I suggest you study the Google Adwords Learning Center http://www. google. com/adwords/learningce. . . .

Remember you are the expert in your field and you should play a significant role in the campaigns development. The PPC expert should help you understand the nuisances of the Adwords platform, avoid pitfalls and stay abreast of any changes in Adwords.

You should also demand transparency from whoever you work with.

Most pay per click management companies charge about 20% of the budget.

You can negotiate a lower percentage, depending on how extensive the work you want them to do and what you can do yourself — create your ad, test your ad, develop all your keywords, track the clicks and costs and adjusts the campaign accordingly, set up your Google Analytics account to track the performance of the campaign
