Do Promoted Tweets Help?
I recently learned that Google AdWords will be integrated on YouTube. When users explore the videos that are offered on YouTube, there will be an assortment of advertisements that are displayed prior to the media being displayed. Naturally, users may elect to watch the Google AdWords advertisements, or they may choose to bypass them by using a “Skip” option. There are basically two unique types of tests that will occur while these ads are being displayed. First, it will determine the general engagement level of the YouTube user and it will determine the target audience that is viewing certain types of content.
The information that is received from this particular test with Google AdWords will have a direct impact on the future of advertisements. The company will be able to determine if click-through advertisements are still the most effective model or if rolling media advertisements are the way to go. We will likely have to just wait this one out in order to determine what the test results are, but I say that a fine mixture of rolling advertisements and click advertisements will likely be the most effective means of engaging in Google AdWords campaigns online today.
