Hacked Twitter Account Causes Panic

The Twitter account of the disaster management adviser to the President of Indonesia was hacked last week with a post announcing a Tsunami. This caused a lot of panic to a country that has already suffered one Tsunami which resulted in the loss of lives.

This is a prime example of how the hacking of a social media account in general and Twitter in particular can be used to cause confusion.

The same can also be said for your personal (or business) account. If it is hacked into, what effect is it going to have on your business? Is there anything you can do to protect your account from being hacked?
