This tool is intended to allow their members to actively recommend various types of affiliate marketing products through the Twitter platform. In turn, the members will receive sales commission on those products. Basically, the LinkShare member will post a message via what is called a “Tweet” and then a link will be automatically inserted into the message so that readers may click on it to go directly to the sales page.

 

While this tool is likely to be effective for those involved in affiliate marketing with LinkShare, it seems to be too dependent on a social networking website and not an effective marketing plan. While many businesses have found social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook to play an important role in their overall marketing endeavors, it appears as if too many businesses are attempting to use these websites as a sole marketing campaign.

 

In my opinion, there are just too many variables involved to depend on these websites as a sole means of marketing. Sure, you can easily achieve success, but whatever happened to target markets? While Twitter is a wonderful tool for affiliate marketers, it is not a universal means of acquiring success – what do you think?
