Mashable revealed yesterday that Twitter had begun inviting a group of users to test an analytics product. Goodbye JPEG, Hello WebP?

If Google has it their way, the JPEG will be completely eliminated and replaced with their new open format for images; WebP.   The advantages of WebP? Smaller sizes and a faster loading time. This doesn't mean the images will necessarily look better, but they will be around 40% smaller.  With al.... More »

There are five current FCC Commissioners and these five will soon meet in order to set the final technical rules for white spaces.   Google is hoping that if the rules are worded correctly, then the Commission will take a very.... Google Farmer Update Being Tweaked

A little while ago I wrote about the Google Farmer Update in this blog. It seems as though Google is already updating the update. Apparently there were some innocent bystanders affected by this most recent update. A lot of webmasters were complaining that their sites were unfairly targeted. So to co.... More »

According to ForeSee Results study results just released, it seems like Facebook isn’t as perfectly wonderful as it thinks it is.  They scored low score grades among consumers!

Consumers scored Facebook 64 out of 100 points, which is one of the lowest of customer satisfactions among all the businesses. They even scored lower the airlines and cable companies.

In the survey when consumers were asked what they like about Facebook there was a general agreement that they like being able to stay in touch with family and friends. What they said when it came to liking the least, numerous complaints came out which included privacy and security. There were complaints about their technology behind the news feeds in such things as advertising and Facebook constantly changing the interface along with concerns of spam and navigations issues.

Some surprising results for Facebook but if you use this social network you are probably in total agreement with the results.  Yes, Facebook is an awesome social networking site but they’d best start if they haven’t already done so is address the consumer issues.

Facebook is responding to the survey saying that they have yet to review the survey methodology and that it is clear that there is room for improvement. They wish to provide a useful service and keep the trust that people have put in them. They will focus their time on improving all the products being offered while still introducing new products to the market place. They are indeed looking forward to the next survey results.

Twitter was not included in this survey, because ForeSee feels that their users access this social media through third party apps rather then through Web Sites. I believe if they had included Twitter, that social media would be facing the same if not lower scores as Facebook. Perhaps a letter needs to be sent to ForeSee…well…because they need to know what improvements need to be made as well!

Glad to see this article. I know I should be using Facebook to get my name out there, as I am new to the IM world, but I can't seem to get the hang of it. I look at how other people are using it promote their sites and I am in awe of them. Just wish it was easier to navigate. Great article.

Facebook would be ok if you didnt keep getting all those spam emails. I do think they need to re-design facebook making easier to navigate around.
