Microsoft Outlook and Facebook

Microsoft Outlook’s Social Connector has a new update that was recently added to Facebook and also to Windows Live Messenger.

 

Microsoft’s newest version of Social Connector will allow a user to view status updates, wall posts and photos of their Facebook friends without having to leave their email to do so. Users can now add more friends to their Facebook and Windows Live directly from their Outlook People’s pane.

 

Making a debut in 2009, Microsoft’s Social connector went through some major upgrades in February 2010. The newest upgrade for Social Connector is that it will now intergrate the last three Microsoft Outlook editions (2003, 2007 and 2010).

 

Those already using Outlook 2010 can now grab the latest version of the Social Connector going to Microsoft’s Update service. Those users that are currently using Outlook 2003 and 2007 will from their upgrade at the Microsoft download centers, Facebook and Windows Live Messenger components and are also available as separate downloads.

 

Microsoft has also updated their Outlook social Connector FAQ page to address any of the common questions and or problems you might encounter with their service.

 

Microsoft has been working on their Social Connector to increase their tap into the ever growing social networking areas. Recent polls show that 67 % of people that are online are now using social networks and blogs to stay connected, do business and make decisions on their purchases.
