The arrival of the mobile journalist is now upon due to the creation of mobile phones with their capability to use the internet on their phones.

It is becoming a popular usage by journalists to be able to collect video and photos and file stories. Citizen journalists armed with the same technology are out there in force as well. As the reporting tools on mobile phone increase the more these citizen journalists are out there assisting in the reporting of news.

News stations all over the world are allowing people to easily submit videos that are taken directly from their cell phones and other devices and send them their footage.

When viewers and consumers submit their stories, pictures and videos they feel involved and part of the story. They want to see the information they sent air on the web or television.

Thusly, it would be an extreme benefit to all local reporters, news stations or newspapers to use social media to connect with these citizen journalists wandering the world armed and ready in case they come across some disaster in the making.
