What’s the first social networking site that pops into your head? Think fast. Chances are pretty good that it’s Facebook. Facebook has become the “king” of social networking sites. Boasting over 500 million registered users, Facebook has become the social networking “place to be.” People use it to reconnect with old classmates; while companies use it to promote their products and services. It might not be that way for long, if Google has any say in the matter.

Rumors are swirling around Google’s intentions to dive into the social networking scene. Based on Google’s success in other internet-based markets, Facebook might have something to worry about. Perhaps this explains the supposed “lock-down” happening at Facebook headquarters.  The company is apparently re-vamping their features in preparations for whatever Google throws at them.  Everything from Groups, Photos, and Events are being fine-tuned in hopes that users don’t drift away from Facebook.

Google hasn’t released any details regarding their plans, but their creative staff surely has something interesting up their sleeves. Tere’s nothing like a little healthy competition to encourage companies to improve their product.

Yes ! Here comes another Social site from Google . When is it too much? Is it just competition or greed? Where do we find all the time to post to all of the social sites? Why do we need more? Well it the old if they can do it we can do it better. I know this Google site will do well and you know I will sign up however someday I will start deleting and then , yes then , I will get a life .
