We all like to see some other site mention our own website. It gives the ego a boost.( Well as long as the mention was positive) Sometimes site will make a list linking to sites that have mentioned them. They want visitors to their website to see that other sites are talking about them. They also use this as a way of getting reciprocal links.
Google’s Matt Cutts weighed in with his thoughts on should you link to every site that mentions your website.
So it looks like while it is fine to link to some sites that mention your website, you should not be linking to them all. People may find this as you showing off. So just link to a few of the more important mentions. This will show people that other sites are talking about your site without coming off as conceited.
