Google just added a useful feature to Google Docs. Users now have the ability to drag-and-drop images from the desktop into a Google Docs document.
The new feature works with all the latest versions of the "top" browsers, including Safari, Google, Firefox, and Google Chrome, and does just what you'd expect. Instead of importing an image using the traditional web uploader, doing a Google Image Search, or entering in a URL, you can now just drag the image from the desktop directly into your document.
It's getting simpler for developers to add features to web applications to make them act more like desktop applications, thanks to HTML5. Google's online office suite has taken another big step forward.
How many of you use an online office suite? Do you think Google Docs can replace traditional desktop programs like Microsoft Word?
